The first edition of La Micro Ruta de la Sal has officially begun, with the first demonstration regatta held on April 5 in the bay of Sant Antoni de Portmany, Ibiza.
The initiative involves several Spanish universities in the development of autonomous sailing boat prototypes, designed to complete an unmanned crossing while symbolically carrying one kilogram of salt.
Among the participants, Veneziani Yachting is supporting the students of the RAIG FNB team from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, providing them with high-quality coatings and technical support. This support contributed to a winning performance, with their vessel proving to be the fastest on the water.

The event therefore represented an important first testing ground ahead of the full regatta scheduled for early 2027, when the boats will be required to cover a total of 54 nautical miles in complete autonomy.
Veneziani Yachting thus renews its commitment to supporting innovation and the younger generations, contributing to the development of sustainable technological solutions for the future of maritime innovation.
