Veneziani Yachting once again confirms its commitment alongside the PoliMi Sailing Team, the university group of the Politecnico di Milano that, since 2007, has been developing and building high-performance foiling boats with a strong focus on technological innovation and environmental sustainability.
Those, together with a passion for sailing, represent the shared values on which this partnership is built, and which has been renewed this year on the occasion of the SuMoth Challenge 2026: the international competition that every year brings together universities from around the world in Malcesine, on Lake Garda.

For this edition, the team took to the water with Altea 2.0, the evolution of the project that won the previous edition and the result of a major refit involving numerous aspects: from the structure and foils to the mechatronics systems and the digital system developed to ensure the boat’s stability while foiling, all the way to the sail, made with lighter, recycled and recyclable materials.

Veneziani Yachting provided its technical know-how, identifying the complete coating system best suited to the project’s requirements and supplying the products needed for the hull’s preparation, protection and finishing phases, in order to ensure surface quality, performance and attention to detail.
The shared commitment between Veneziani Yachting and the PoliMi Sailing Team helped prepare a boat capable of expressing its full potential on the water. This collaborative effort culminated in Altea 2.0 taking the Overall Winner title at the 2026 SuMoth Challenge!
Veneziani Yachting is proud to have contributed once again to this important achievement and continues to support initiatives that invest in the talent of new generations and in the future of boating.
